Train

Image
Our next activity is to make a train with paper and some cotton. We took some colourful glaze papers and cut various shapes out of them. Arranged and pasted the shapes to form a train engine, made smoke using cotton and our activity is done. Here's the pic of how our engine looks like.

Paper pasting

We did another activity in our vacations. Paper pasting This is paper pasting done by my daughter. I helped her write her name in big sized letters. We had a fun time tearing glaze paper into small bits. Using fevistik on 1 letter at a time, my kiddo stuck the paper bits on the letters to create a colourful name and enjoy her activity. Left over bits of paper have been saved in a small bag which can be used in future activities for decoration purposes.

Tree - bottle painting

Image
Kids enjoy spoiling their hands, clothes, feet and anything else they can lay their hands on.. For our first activity we selected making a tree, doing bottle painting using water colours. It was quite easy with just 2 colours. Brown colour to make the tree's stem and then green colour for the kid to dip the bottom of a bottle in it and make the leaves and enjoy her activity. Here's the outcome. Bottle painting My daughter also loves washing and cleaning, so she cleans the colour palette and the brushes after we are done, and also helps in putting away any other related stuff.

Summer vacations

I have a preschooler at home, enjoying her holidays. Previous session has ended and it's still over a month for the new session to begin. Kids are full of energy and can't sit idle even for a moment. The best timepass for them is to watch videos or to play games on their smart devices. I being the mom won't support these ideas for obvious reasons, but don't have much options most of the times. This time is different. Being at home, preparing for my second kid, I have ample time to spend with my first kid. So I thought of spending quality time with my little princess. I'm myself not a very creative person, but thought of giving it a try just to inculcate better habits in my kid. So I have gathered ideas and screenshots from different sources to help my little one create things and spend her time with me rather than with the smart phone. Subsequent posts would show her creations and what all we did during her vacations.
